At Heritage Soaps we are honored to follow, as a cousin, in the footsteps of the first pioneers of hard bar soap, the internationally famous Allepo Soap.

We have brought back the art of basic soap making, the way it was done many years ago, using only natural ingredients relying on our soaps' performance in the real world rather than fancy salesmanship as the main sell points.

The proprietary methods used in making our soaps gives a superior quality to the vast majority of commercial soaps that are mass produced. Rather than removing the vital glyceride layers in the vegetable oils, from which all our soaps are derived, like most commercial producers do, we at Heritage Soaps have actually seen to it to INCREASE the glycerin content in all our products. The result is just a great soap that is at the same time tough on grime as it is gentle on the skin.

In keeping with our desire to only make a quality product we have steered away from using anything artificial. Our scented soaps use only high quality essential oils derived from plants. We make and cut all our soaps by hand giving them a more personal touch from batch to batch. Our own use of these soaps has convinced us of their superior abilities.

The inks we use for our labels are water based and not chemically hardened with a toxic fixative. While this may make them run when in contact with water we feel it is a small price to pay for a more eco-friendly product.
